Our Growing Sewing Center Project (Ongoing)

So fortunate to have an opportunity to open the first “Shantideva Free Sewing Centre” today. It was suppose to be a casual affair. That’s not how things are done in India…

The center is located about an hour outside Bodhgaya. It’s a very impoverished village much like most of Bihar with very little opportunity’s. The center is free of charge and will give the young women a marketable skill among other benefits.

The school starts tomorrow with multiple classes running 6 days a week. We filled the capacity of 55 students within a couple days.

We have plans to open a larger venue soon and have an aspiration to open other schools in the area to benefit as many people as possible. I’m so grateful to have an opportunity to be a part of this and hope to be able to create opportunity’s for other people as well to help sponsor future centers.
