Food Offering in Bodh Gaya बोध गया

Happy Chötrul Düchen (Day of Miracles)

I am very fortunate to have had the opportunity to help some impoverished families in India today. We offered 4900 kg (10,800 lbs) of food to 114 families in a very poor village 2 hours from Bodhgaya.

Rice 15 kg

Wheat flour 15 kg

Potato 5 kg

Dal 3 kg

Salt 3 kg

Oil 2kg

43 kg (100 lbs)

The village is where we opened the free Shantideva Sewing Centre to give young women a chance to learn a vocation. The entire region is extremely poor with essentially no outside support.

I’m so grateful to my Bihari family who worked tirelessly for the last few days acquiring, coordinating and packing the supplies.
