Day of Miracles
We will again be offering food and staples to a village in India this year on March 7, 2023, which is Chotrul Duchen (Day of Miracles). Last year some people expressed interest in participating, so making that opportunity possible.
Last year we we provided 5124 kg (11,300 lbs) of food to 122 families. These are some of the most destitute families in an already impoverished remote village in India.
This year we will be offering to 127 families in the same village. The cost is 173,000 Indian Rupees ($2,100).
If you would like to make an offering for this, you can do so online through the Shantideva Foundation. I started the foundation to support projects like this one. 100% of all proceeds are donated to the projects. 🙏🏾

We will be offering the following to each of the 127 families:
Rice 15 kg
Wheat 15 kg
Dhal 3 kg
Potato 5 kg
Salt 1 Kg
Oil 1 L
The village is so grateul and appreciates the support. This is the same village where we started the Shantideva Sewing Center a few years ago, which gives woman in the village an opportunity to learn a vocation.
Chotrul Duchen (Day of Miracles) marks the end of the 15-day festival of Monlam, a period of Dharma practice and joyous celebration of the Buddha’s power. Karmic results (both positive and negative) are multiplied by one hundred million during this period, making it an especially auspicious time.
